Radio Shack is run by criminals!

I went to Radio Shack and asked them for their cheapest cable to connect my cable box (DVI) to my new HDTV (HDMI). They tried to charge me $99. I found the same exact product from an online retailer for $9 (including shipping). That is a 1100% mark up. They are truly criminals and I am never shopping there again.

Working on Good Friday

It's Good Friday and I am at work today. It was two years ago that my company decided to give us off for MLK day and make us work on Good Friday. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a Christian, probably would not approve.

Pay Phones

On my walk to work this morning, there was this gentleman apparently dissatisfied with the service he received from a pay phone on the street. He was repeatedly clicking the lever that hangs up the phone and searching the coin return for change. When none appeared he started to repeatedly bang on the base with the phone. Duh, I wonder why the phone doesn't work. So he proceeds to slam down the phone after checking one last time for his change then walks about 3 or 4 steps away. All of the sudden he stops, takes 50 cents out of his pocket, does a 180 and returns to the phone...


On a side note. I think this laptop is in need of a beating. My USB ports are acting up.

Ys: The Ark of Napishtim

I spent about 5 hours playing this RPG / Action PS2 game last night. It has simple controls / combat which makes the game fun. I'm really enjoying it. I'm not sure it's worth $50 yet, but it was definately worth the gamefly rental. The graphichs are adequate, although it's not exactly pushing the limits of the PS2. The sound is in Pro Logic II (surround) and it's well done. The music helps to set the mood. It's hard to describe what I like about it, but it has a great old school vibe and is quite fun.

I hate it when I get dandruff in my coffee (or tea)
